Embossed band clamps 19 December 2022

EFC International has introduced embossed band style, worm gear clamps – often known as European style clamps – to one of its customers, in response to various challenges it faced when using the previous slotted band style for numerous applications.

The customer had become aware of certain practical and safety issues with the clamps that needed resolution. As a result, EFC engineers introduced the embossed band style, worm gear clamps which are higher quality clamps with better performance, as well as having a better torque to clamping force conversion than the slotted band style items.

Not only did the embossed product offer improved hose protection and have no sharp edges or slots, its smooth edges and lack of a protruding long tail also eliminated the risks of cutting hands to assembly line workers and consumers.

The icing on the cake was that by making the change to embossed style clamps, the customer has also saved costs through EFC’s skilled sourcing network and supplier partnerships.
