WiHa picks up multiple design awards
14 July 2017
WiHa GmbH has recently won prestigious design awards for two products – the LiftUp 26one® magazine bit holder and the TorqueVario® torque tool.
The German-based hand tool manufacturer was delighted when, in April, the Red Dot Awards expert panel honoured the LiftUp 26one magazine bit holder.
It received the internationally coveted quality seal for high-quality design after the panel assessed thousands of products from all over the world.
The LiftUp 26one magazine bit holder combines twenty-six of the most common drive profiles in a single, practical tool with thirteen double bits in its handle and bit holder. Users not only save space and time, but also carry less weight around. Bits can be selected, removed and returned at the press of a button – delivering increased efficiency and ergonomic design for users. This latest innovation from WiHa’s LiftUp magazine bit holder family had already received the iF DESIGN Award 2017 in March.
The iF Design Award is presented once a year by Germany’s oldest independent design institution, the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, Germany.
For the first time WiHa also received the Plus X Award for the TorqueVario torque screwdriver. The independent, international expert jury at the world’s largest innovation competition for technology, sport and lifestyle honoured the hand tool in several categories: High-quality, design, user convenience and functionality. The variably and continuously adjustable torque tool can be used for a wide variety of applications to provide controlled fastening. Its ergonomic handle also resulted in it being recommended by the German Association for Healthier Backs as a solution kind to muscles.
