Titanium fasteners in stock 07 March 2016

Due to rising demand and to satisfy industry requirements for ‘just in time’ (JIT) delivery, Altiplas Ltd has invested in a stock range of metric titanium Grade 2 fasteners.

The range starts in size M3 up to M12 and includes DIN 912, DIN 933, DIN 7991, DIN 125, DIN 9021, DIN 127, DIN 934, DIN 85 and ISO 7380. All parts are fully traceable with screwed parts having rolled threads, with the majority having forged heads.

As well as titanium Grade 2, Altiplas also offers titanium Grade 5 (TI-6Al-4V) and has a limited range of DIN/ISO fasteners available from stock. Non-standard fasteners and components to drawing can also be supplied in either grade with full traceable documentation if required.

Altiplas has seen a significant rise for titanium products within industries such as automotive, medical, military, chemical and petrochemical, aerospace, motorsport, marine, and power. Titanium’s unique qualities include resistance to corrosion and erosion, low density – approximately 56% of steel – great strength to weight ratio, high melting point, low modulus of elasticity, and low thermal expansion.

“At Altiplas all parts are supplied under our BSI ISO 9001:2008 & AS 9120 accreditation. If we do not have it in stock we can normally supply standard parts within seven days.”
