Güde GmbH is investing in a new logistics hall, with new automatic small parts warehouse, to shorten delivery times of its extensive product portfolio, including its screw locking devices, patented sperrkant spring washers, split lock washers, as well as other locking washers.
As a stock manufacturer, Güde aims to have almost all of its product portfolio in stock and ready for dispatch at short notice, with high availability and fast delivery times the reason the company ships approximately 2.5 billion parts to customers worldwide every year. The new logistics hall will shorten delivery times and further optimise internal processes.
Currently, the high availability of products is ensured by a well stocked warehouse, fully automatic packaging systems, all supported by a modern EDP (Enterprise Data Platform). Güde has also been using barcodes and scanners throughout its operations for over 15 years. Internal processes have been and are constantly being optimised, while the potential for errors is minimised.
Güde produces a wide range of screw locking devices, used in screw classes from 4.6 to 12.9 and in a dimension range of M2 – M30. However, Güde can also produce spring washers according to DIN 127 up to M100. Standard and special parts are manufactured from spring steel, stainless steel, aluminium, bronze and special grades. The Plettenberg-based manufacturer also focuses on customer specific requirements, such as an EDI connection or individual packaging solutions.
Being a manufacturer of securing devices, Güde attaches great importance to the quality of its products. This begins with the careful selection of raw material suppliers and carries on through continuous self checks throughout the entire production process. Based on the CAQ software BABTEC, extensive quality tests are carried out throughout the entire production process in Güde’s own laboratory. Retained samples are taken and the results are then recorded and archived.
