Stafa – trust in quality 07 October 2019

As a business Stafa Group is committed to quality, both for the quality of the products it supplies customers, as well as the quality of its internal processes to ensure an optimised service to the customer.

Stafa guarantees its fasteners comply with the most stringent safety standards and are CE approved where applicable. The company performs random checks on incoming products in its own quality department, where it carries out tensile tests and checks for thread deviations. It also performs hardness measurements, microscopic and optical (surface) checks and salt spray – with certificates available upon request.

A new addition to the quality department is the Keyence IM7020 optical measuring system, which enables the company to inspect products quickly, consistently and easily. “The new Keyence machine underlines our commitment to quality and enables us to carry additional checks,” explains Pim van Leeuwen, commercial director at Stafa Group. “The machine also supports large and tall objects (up to 4x the measurement volume) and it measures obscured areas.”

Stafa Group also monitors quality outside the head office through branches in China and Taiwan, which allows it to stay close to its suppliers. “We work with carefully selected – and often certified – manufacturers,” notes Pim. “This integrated approach allows us to monitor product quality each and every day.”

In addition to its product quality, Stafa is also certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and it monitors all its processes, to ensure a consistently high service to its customers. “Our quality management system enables us to continuously improve our processes,” points out Pim. “This means that process quality is an integral part of the whole organisation, and we are constantly pushing ourselves to get better at what we do. This is how we excel and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
