Nord-Lock Group adds Expander® System to solutions 06 October 2016

The Expander® System offers a modern cost–effective solution that stops pivot wear. Founded in 1986, Expander System Sweden AB was recently acquired by the Nord–Lock Group, a world leader in bolting solutions.

It was back in the 1950s when twin brothers Everth and Gerhard Svensson built roads across the Swedish countryside. They were frustrated with the constant recurring problem of wear in the machinery pivots and could not afford all the expensive repairs and downtime. One day when a pivot pin was coming loose, Everth tried fixing the pin in the lughole using a rusty nail. The solution worked. Only temporary of course, but the idea was born and soon turned into a practical reality.
Founded by Everth and his son, Roger, Expander has been developing permanent solutions for pivot wear for 30 years and today the company has manufacturing units in Sweden and the USA.
To date there are over 50,000 different Expander® applications for 10,000 different types, makes and models of machinery and equipment — even for the most extreme needs. The solution is known as the most reliable, durable and cost–efficient option to eliminate pivot wear and to eliminate the need for line boring. Expander pivot technology comes with a 10 year or 10,000 hours functional warranty. Market segments include construction, agriculture, forestry, mining, oil and gas and the process industry.
