UK-based Laser Tools has introduced three new digital torque ratchets – part numbers 6205, 6206 and 6207 – designed to secure fasteners to lower torque figures where over-tightening is a real risk.
Smaller in length than a full sized torque wrench, Laser Tools points out that the new style digital torque ratchets give a convenient and functional solution to the risk of over-tightening. With a clear digital display, they all feature a smooth 72 tooth ratchet mechanism; have an automatic shut off function; and are very accurate – plus or minus 3% – 4%.
Part number 6207 is a ¼ inch drive model, has a torque range of 6Nm – 30Nm (4.4ft/lb – 22.1ft/lb) and is compact at 200mm in length. The 3⁄8 inch drive model, part number 6206, is slightly longer in length at 230mm and has a torque range of 16Nm – 80Nm (11.8ft/lb – 59ft/lb). Lastly, the ½ inch drive model, part number 6205, is the longest ratchet at 275mm and has a torque range of 20Nm – 100Nm (14.8ft/lb – 73ft/lb).
“Supplied with batteries in a sturdy blow mould case for storage, users will appreciate the quality, convenience and accuracy of the new torque ratchets.”
