Makita celebrates 100 years 03 March 2016

Makita is celebrating its 100th year with significant developments in its battery powered fastening tools range, including the new DFL650FZ 18V angle screwdriver.

Makita’s DFL650FZ 18V angle screwdriver features the company’s latest brushless motor – enhancing performance through less friction and giving greater motor power, longer run times and battery longevity. This powerful angle driver will generate 500 watts of power, has a torque range of 25Nm – 65Nm and will run between 80rpm – 200rpm.

It also features an anti-tamper torque setting; a visual and audible warning system for correct or incorrect fastening load; as well as an auto stop facility. Settings can be adjusted through a downloadable App, which can alter the direction of rotation and the speed of run down at different stages during the rundown process. The 3⁄8 inch square drive can carry a wide variety of sockets, cap drives and screwdriver bits. The DFL650FZ weighs just 2.7kg.

Also available in Makita’s production tool range are 14.4V programmable impact drivers that generate a powerful 95Nm of torque; 12V screwdrivers that will run up to 1,200rpm; and the tiny TDO91DN 10.8V impact driver that generates up to 3,000 impacts per minute and 90Nm of torque – as well as weighing less than 1kg.
