To help deliver the power of pneumatic impact wrenches for larger diameter bolts, Makita is introducing the GWT10 40V max XGT® 4-Sp high torque impact wrench, for users who require the highest torque, compressor free.
The GWT10 features three forward and three reverse auto-stop modes for increased efficiency. A four speed power selection switches, as well as a variable speed trigger and full speed mode function that reduces the trigger pull to enable optimum control in a wide range of applications. These include heavy equipment maintenance and over the road truck service, which typically require a compressor running on the back of the truck to get the power needed for wheel removal.
Additionally, the tool can also be used in the oil and gas industry for rig anchoring and pressurised connects, pipe fitters and automotive mechanics, as well as rail maintenance, repair and structural steel assembly.
“The new XGT high torque impact wrench is a true testament to what XGT® technology can deliver,” comments Robert Monroe, product manager, drilling, fastening and expansion at Makita. “The GWT10 outperforms pneumatic counterparts with an incredible 2,950lb of nut-busting torque, so users who require the highest torque can finally go compressor free.”
This impact wrench measures only 22½ inches, making it more compact and ideal for balanced handling at max torque. Other features include an LED ring light, providing users with 360° illumination to help eliminate shadows and illuminate a larger area, as well as a 360° D-Handle engineered with toolless installation.
