Manufactured in the UK, Crane Electronics Ltd has added the WrenchStar Multi production wrench to its range, for customers who require digital recordings of torque and angle data.
WrenchStar Multi has a 360° light ring that is completely visible at any angle to advise on the torque level applied. It also comes with an RF feature, which means a cable is not needed to connect it to an IQVu data collector for recording torque and angle data.
The WrenchStar Multi has a quick change battery pack for extended shift time use and up to 200 data recordings can be made by the wrench offline on its own before having to return the wrench to the data collector.
Also available as part of Crane’s series of digital torque wrenches is the tried and tested IQWrench2 Opta. This combines all of the features of a high specification digital torque wrench with a torque data collector system in one ergonomic, versatile and incredibly powerful package. The IQWrench2 also has the option of a barcode reader and RF wireless transfer available if required. It is robust and rugged and suitable for harsh production environments.
“Both the IQWrench2 and the WrenchStar Multi are used in hundreds of applications around the globe and by some of the world’s largest manufacturers – particularly throughout the automotive and aerospace sectors,” mentions Crane Electronics. “They are both available with interchangeable DIN heads that can be identified automatically by the wrenches for auto length compensation for the torque measurement.”
