Complete riveting solutions from Rivit 04 April 2019

Rivit Srl is known as a leading company in the production and distribution of fastening systems for sheet metal assembly, and the related tools for their placing. With over forty years of experience the company has developed a comprehensive range of fasteners including blind rivets, rivet nuts for sheet metal, self-clinching, welding studs, blind bolts, cage nuts, clamps, rivet nuts for plastic, latches, hinges, handles and specific tools for their installation.

Rivit’s wide and full range of tools for blind rivets and rivet nuts includes battery powered tools, which combine the quality of the work to the freedom of the movement. The practicality of the lithium batteries also ensure greater autonomy with respect to the traditional ones for the same power.

RIV750 is a battery powered tool, designed for use with all rivets up to 4.8mm diameter in all alloys. Ejection of the mandrels follows the force of gravity, i.e. either forward, through the nosepiece, or backward, into the proper mandrel container. RIV750 also features 8,500N tensile strength and comes with a 1.3Ah battery and charger in a metallic case.

Another battery powered tool, the RIV760, is the superior battery version featuring 13,000N tensile strength. Ejection of the mandrels once again follows the force of gravity, either forward, through the nosepiece, or backward, into the proper mandrel container. It was designed to place standard and structural steel rivets up to 6.4mm diameter and extra long FIORIV rivets in 4.8mm – 6.4mm diameter. RIV760 also comes in a metallic case with a 2.6Ah battery and a battery charger.

The following options are available on request for both the RIV750 and RIV760:

  • Retention nosepieces that firmly hold the blind rivet by means of a lateral ball. In this way, even when using the riveting tool in a horizontal position, the blind rivet does not fall.
  • Universal nosepieces – thanks to its rotation you can select diameters of the blind rivet, without replacing the nosepiece at all times.
  • Head extension, 200mm extension kit.

Also available is the RIV790 – a battery powered tool designed to place rivet nuts from M3 to M10, featuring 13,000N tensile strength. The tool is strong and versatile and the screwing of the rivet nut is done automatically when it is positioned against the tie rod – by pressing the trigger, the rivet nut is deformed, and automatically unscrewed from the tie rod. Rivet nut clamping is carried out by the adjustment of the front ring nuts.

The tool comes in a metallic case with tie rods and heads M4, M5 and M6 (M8 and M10 on request) and with a 1.3Ah battery plus the charger.

Rivit's GTRERIV range
Also available from Rivit is the GTRERIV rivet range designed for the building sector. GTRERIV rivets, with gasket, are entirely made of an aluminium alloy (body and mandrel) and feature a neoprene gasket inserted under the head that guarantees excellent resistance to weathering, especially to infiltrations caused by rain, thanks to the integrated gasket.

The low permeability, combined with an excellent fastening force, makes the GTRERIV suitable for roofing fastening installations, in particular to fix the brackets that support the photovoltaic solar panels on corrugated sheets and sandwich panels.

The placement of this rivet is fast and easy, and from one side only. The mandrel, firmly locked, ensures solid and resistant joints, as it breaks flush with the surface. The three large pressure wings distribute the clamping force evenly over a large area of the surface, so even the soft, thin, flexible or fragile materials can be safely riveted without destroying or damaging the surface.

GTRERIV are available in different diameters and lengths 5.2mm, 6.3mm and 7.7mm dome or large head for different grip ranges.
