Accurate tensioning with Laser Tools 25 October 2016

To enable accurate tensioning of difficult to access fasteners, UK-based Laser Tools has introduced a mechanical torque wrench – part number 6167 – supplied with a ¼ inch drive ratchet head.

This mechanical torque wrench is particularly suitable in automotive applications such as changing the cambelt, and for critical items like idler pulleys, tensioner pulleys, balance shafts, etc – where access at the front or side of the engine is often tight. Torque setting can be locked for continuous accurate work. In addition a sealed neck keeps dust and grit away from the torque mechanism for longer tool life.

The torque wrench features a display range of 10Nm – 50Nm (7.4 ft/lb – 36.9 ft/lb) with an accuracy of ±4% – with right hand thread torque measurement only. Included in the set is a reversible ¼ inch drive ratchet head, plus 8 open ended spanner heads – 7mm – 14mm. It is supplied with a calibration certificate and the set comes in a fitted plastic blow mould case for security.
