A partner in production 25 June 2025

BRALO’s new range of riveters featuring five specialised pneumatic tools – PT-8L, PT-14, PT-20, PT-28 and PT-28LB – combines durability, speed and precision engineering to meet the toughest industrial demands, with each tool fine-tuned to a specific application.

From standard rivets to lockbolts, pin and collar, rivet nuts and threaded studs, the BRALO PT range covers a vast array of riveting possibilities, with a wide variety of interchangeable nosepieces to ensure the right fit for an extensive range of industrial applications.

For pulling force capabilities up to 8,500N the new PT-8L, with a maximum stroke of 27mm, is ideal for long rivets such as peeled or load spreading rivet types. For general industrial use the new PT-14 is ideal, with a pulling force of 13,500N and a stroke of 17mm. In addition, for high strength structural rivets, the PT-20 is ideal with a 21,000N pulling force and stroke of 27mm.

Also featured in the new range is the PT-28, capable of handling high resistance rivets with ease, such as G-Bra and hardlock rivets, thanks to its 27,500N of pulling force. Furthermore, there is the PT-28LB, which offers reliable and rapid fastening of bolted joints, as well as a 27,500N pulling force.

These tools offer advanced air redistribution technology to enable faster piston return while maintaining long-term precision. This also means no loosening or slack over time, just consistent, high-speed riveting – cycle after cycle. Compared to other riveters on the market, the PT models feature both a forged aluminium air chamber body and handle, helping them to deliver high structural strength while keeping tool weight low – making the tools ideal for extended use in high volume operations.

BRALO explains: “At the heart of the PT range is a commitment to simplicity, with a significant reduction in the number of internal components used in the tools, replacing complex assemblies with a streamlined design with high-quality materials and advanced machining. We have eliminated plastic and low resistance parts to create stronger, more reliable tools. This approach ensures fewer potential points of failure and greatly reduces the risk of air or oil leakage over time. For the end user this means less downtime, easier on-site maintenance and greater continuity in production environments.”

Designed with the operator in mind, safety is ensured when applying riveting force as the tools operate below full capacity – which not only protects internal mechanisms from wear but also contributes to an extended service life. In addition, the tools feature an ambidextrous grip to ensure comfort for both right and left handed users, while the adjustable mandrel collector with directional air exhaust improves comfort and safety during use.

The PT range also extends beyond rivets to include high efficiency tools for rivet nuts, with an emphasis on low air consumption, high setting force, as well as user focused features. These tools include PT-15NL, PT-19N and PT-27N, suitable for use with fasteners from M3 to M12, with pulling forces of 15,000N to 27,000N. Each model includes force or stroke adjustment, a reverse thread function and a sealed design for silent, consistent performance.

“The PT range has been crafted as a tool family for real industry – designed not just to function, but to thrive in demanding environments. From rivet nuts to structural fastenings, these tools strike a rare balance between strength, speed and operator comfort. For professionals who demand reliability with every cycle, the PT range is more than a tool – it’s a partner in production,” states BRALO.
