As part of RLS Tooling’s continual growth in the global marketplace it has reintroduced tangential die head chasers into its production, which were originally phased out back in 2015 due to old machinery and a retiring workforce in this area.
However, due to reinvestment last year in CNC milling and grinding machines specific for this area, RLS Tooling Ltd is now able to supply a range of tangential chaser sections that will fit 1.3/64 inch x 3 inch, 1.3/64 inch x 4 inch, 1.1/4 inch x 4 inch and 1.1/2 inch x 5 inch section, with a range of thread forms to suit – typically Metric, BSW, UNC and the popular 11 and 14 BSPT and BSPP pipe threads.
“We also still hold some old stock of the smaller size tangential die head chaser if required,” points out Marcus Smith, managing director at RLS Tooling. “Unfortunately, we do not manufacture the smaller range.”
The tangential die head chasers will complement the already popular flat and cylindrical thread rolling tools manufactured by RLS Tooling, which have been supplied to many thread rolling companies – covering over 20 countries worldwide during the last 35 years.
“Quality is always at the heart of the RLS mantra, which is why our in-house processes are comprehensive, and it will be the same for the
new tangential die head chaser production,” concludes Marcus. “This aligns with our continuous recertification of the ISO 9001: 2015 and
ISO 14001 accreditations.”
