wire® stand: 15.A05
Industry 4.0 is currently a well talked about topic and has been implemented in numerous applications in the metal forming industry – networking production resources and collecting data from machines is in full swing. At this year’s wire® show, Schwer + Kopka puts a focus on Industry 4.0 and shows how meaningful information gained from different sources will bring real benefit to the end user.
Schwer + Kopka’s MES-Software SK-go! collects all relevant data from the connected machines such as up and down times, reasons for breakdowns, production volumes and speeds. From the gained data the system calculates the widely used OEE-factors. Breakdown statistics clearly present flaws in production that can then be addressed by production management.
Linking maintenance planning with the real production times of the machines in MES will remind the operator of due maintenance cycles and prevent superfluous activities at the same time. Combined with the assessment of important data from machine sensors, such as bearing temperatures or power intake, a truly preventative maintenance becomes possible.
Pairing of MES and CAQ ensures consequent and traceable compliance with quality standards. The machine user will be reminded of all due SPC inspections. If mandatory inspections are not carried out in time, or if taken measurements are out of tolerance, the machine can be stopped automatically if required.
Important process data like force graphs and the process monitoring limits can be stored and archived as well, to close existing gaps in documentation, and to generate reliable evidence of a stable, repeatable and controlled process. In addition, SK-go! supports the demands of the new IATF 16949.
The MES-software SK-go! benefits from a newly designed and intuitively operated graphical user surface. Every user can create their own individual dashboard, meeting individual demands for information from many available modules.
The new generation of Schwer + Kopka process monitoring systems will premiere at the wire® show. The entirely new developed hardware with modern high performance processors and latest capacitive 16:9 touch screens build the foundation for future improvements. The new systems will also show the new operating philosophy of Schwer + Kopka. The user interface aligns even more with logical work flows and always shows supplementary information to the currently used screens. All Schwer + Kopka process monitors today are available with OPC-UA data interfaces.
