HEROSLAM presented its revolutionary new technology of thread rolling dies made with new steels and special alloys, for rolling hard parts, at Fastener Fair Stuttgart.
The new range of thread rolling tools are made from a variety of special steel grades, including 12.9, 14.9 and 15.9, and include progressive roll-on thread rolling dies for rolling heat treated parts; special flat and cylindrical thread rolling dies for aerospace fasteners; as well as new flat dies for Mathread® and ojival fasteners.
Other rolling tools in the range include milled flat dies for woodscrews, plastic screws, and self-tapping screws; planetary thread rolling dies for the production of nails, woodscrews and Mathread fasteners; as well as a range of knurling, grooving and cylindrical dies.
“Our revolutionary new range of steels, combined with our special made in-house coatings, significantly increase tool life when rolling hard parts or parts after heat treatment,” explains HEROSLAM S. A. L. “This helps reduce machine preparation and changes, as well as minimising machine down time, which all leads to a significant reduction in manufacturing costs.”
