WAFIOS Umformtechnik GmbH has acquired EWMenn GmbH & Co KG and is now able to offer a broad spectrum of system solutions in the fastener industry.
Sven Nieper, managing director of WAFIOS Umformtechnik, commented: ”We are happy to team up with EWMenn GmbH & Co KG. The machine programme fits perfectly in our product portfolio. With the know-how, the competence, and the innovative technical solutions from EWMenn, we are now the most comprehensive supplier in the cold forming field and take the leadership in the field of thread rolling machines.”
EWMenn is a manufacturer of thread rolling machines for the production of screws, fasteners and other round profiles. The machine programme focused on this special sector completes the wide product programme of WAFIOS Umformtechnik. This means that WAFIOS can expand its market position and also adds another renowned brand to its portfolio, which already comprises Hilgeland, Nutap, Kieserling and Hilgeland thread rolling dies.
Ernst W. Menn, who remains managing director of EWMenn GmbH, said: ”I see many advantages in this cooperation. For EWMenn this is an important step towards a secure future. With this acquisition the succession is secured. So is our location and the jobs of our team in Hilchenbach, Germany. At the same time we see outstanding opportunities since we can use the global WAFIOS sales organisation. We are convinced that we can expand the success of our products worldwide.”
For international customers this means they can now have a comprehensive machine and service programme from one partner. It also means that machines and technology can be further used and optimised, for example by using solutions that have been developed by and with EWMenn, such as hydraulic die carrier clamping, adaptive die match ADM.
Furthermore, the customers can take advantage of the EWMenn test centre in Hilchenbach where experts from EWMenn and WAFIOS Umformtechnik, as well as from other sources, are available. Customers can use this concentrated know-how for die testing and development, for production tests, and for other developments under laboratory as well as under production conditions. This way customised solutions for individual customers can be developed.
“In conclusion the integration of EWMenn and WAFIOS is more than just the addition of another brand. There are numerous factors that add up and offer substantial added value to customers, thereby enhancing their success in today’s competitive environment.”
