Worldwide storage system provider Mecalux S.A has opened its first office in the Netherlands. From there Mecalux’s objective is to strengthen its commitment to customer proximity and offer increasingly reduced turnaround times.
The new sales office in Amsterdam is the result of the expansion plan Mecalux has been implementing over the past few years. With this branch, the company aims to meet the strong demand driven by the eCommerce boom that, in addition to revolutionising warehouses, is transforming companies’ production and distribution systems.
Mecalux has European sales offices in Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, the UK and Turkey. It also has four production centres – three in Spain (Barcelona, Gijón and Palencia) and one in Poland (Gliwice).
With sales in over 70 countries, Mecalux Group’s main source of growth and development is based on a policy of substantial expansion. This includes the opening of nine offices, the expansion of sales and distribution networks, the allocation of resources to R&D and innovation, as well as the division between automated storage and software.
