Netherlands-based distributor of stainless steel fasteners, Nestinox B.V is utilising reporting tools within its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to provide its customers with clear, precise Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) regulation data.
Robert-Jan Steegman, financial director at Nestinox explains: “With today’s market, innovative, flexible supply channels are essential for distributors. Within our ERP system is a reporting tool created specifically for wholesale companies importing from outside the EU, enabling us to report CBAM goods across the quarter – quickly and efficiently.”
“We are now looking into the possibility to further utilise these tools to transform the report into an XML file which can be imported into other tools where suppliers can input their data,” continues Robert-Jan. “We are committed to making sure Nestinox is an extension of our customers’ organisations, which means finding the right – and easy – solutions through proper communication and an optimised internal process. Through this, we then ensure our suppliers are providing data that is as precise as possible, which means we’re able to provide the best service possible to our customers and continue to meet changing demands – with no supply chain issues.”
As a supplier of various kinds of stainless steel bolts, stainless steel nuts, stainless steel screws, springs, washers, solar fasteners, concrete anchors, machine bases, security screws, and even maintenance products, Nestinox supplies into industry in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the rest of Europe.
In addition to supplying a wide range of products, Nestinox focuses on adding value to its customers by delivering high-quality products as efficiently as possible, at the lowest possible cost. In addition to its ERP system, Nestinox has made a recent investment in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to further enhance its internal processes for managing sales orders, as well as for calculating purchase demands.
“Of course CBAM is an important topic in the market as companies get to grips with what it entails. However, with the investments we’ve made, we’re ‘CBAM ready’ and CBAM is no longer a time-consuming process for us,” highlights Robert-Jan. “We’re now continuing to ensure our stable supply chain as other geopolitical issues become prevalent including defence, spending, the growth of right wing politics – to name just a few. We must continue to stay ‘one step ahead’ as an EU wholesaler and work closely with both our customers
and suppliers for Nestinox’s commitment as a partner in stainless steel fasteners.”
