WTE PowerBolt is a European manufacturer, stockist and supplier of special fasteners and drawing parts for the oil & gas, petrochemical & chemical and powergen industries.
Founded in 2008, the company’s first step to becoming a manufacturer was in 2011 when it acquired its first CNC machine. Today, the company has 10 CNC turning machines, 2 CNC milling machines, 4 thread rolling machines and 30 other machines to produce its own fasteners – with the head mark WTE.
With a manufacturing range from M8 up to M160, and from ¼ inch up to 7 inch in standard or fine thread, WTE PowerBolt’s products are manufactured according to all the key specifications, including ANSI/ASME, ASTM, EN ISO, DIN, national standards, as well as to customer specific requirements – such as Alstom, Siemens, Doosan, Skoda Doosan, Aker, Valmet, etc.
The company can also supply the products in a variety of materials and specialises in products made of EU origin steels and nickel alloys, in compliance with industry standards – AD 200 Merkblatt and PED 2014/68EU – with one of the widest range of products in stock worldwide.
The products are also used in a wide variety of applications including flange connections, pipe lines, skids, valves, pumps, turbines, heat exchangers, as well as industrial boilers and heaters.
“As a Czech company we are focused on an individual approach to customers’ needs and ensuring that we supply a quick delivery,” points out Radek Szabó, co-founder of WTE Powerbolt. “It is in Czech nature that if we do not know how than we will figure it out and customers appreciate this ‘can do’ attitude. Historically the Czech industry has a very good reputation worldwide, across all industry fields, and we are keen to keep this legacy and prove that it still stands.”
This has been further underlined by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to reliability and services becoming even more valuable. “Thanks to Covid-19 a lot of changes for the future were accelerated and have been introduced a lot quicker,” mentions Radek. “The companies who already implemented (or at least started with) changes covered by the Industry 4.0 approach are ahead now. This will continue and become more necessary for the future. Our role every day is to provide a quick service for our customers. The challenge for us is to keep this standard during this difficult period and beyond.”
By doing this the company hopes to strengthen its position as a leading manufacturer and supplier of fasteners for valves, turbines, heat exchangers, pipelines, refineries and nuclear power plants. “We have already started to implement some new products to our portfolio that we will add to our offer within the coming months,” points out Radek. “We shall also double the size of our company stock within three years and increase our production capability by around 20% over the next 12 months.”
