Based in Valle Lomellina, in the north of Italy, Viteria Fusani is a family-run company now in its third generation, which this year celebrates 70 years of providing custom designed special screws to industries worldwide.
As a skilled mechanic, Francesco Fusani established Viteria Fusani in 1955, following the aftermath of World War Two. Initially started as as a small bolt factory, Francesco has seen his three sons enter the business and grow the company into what it is today – supplying key industries, including electronics, automotive, furniture, and industrial applications, fastening solutions tailored to each project’s unique needs.
“The successful growth of our company is down to the experience and knowledge of our staff,” states Viteria Fusani Srl. “Italy is known for its tradition of family companies, handed down from generation to generation and we are proud to be such a business. This means that we have people within our organisation who believe in the work they are doing, as well as in their history. It means they are moving forward with pride and a wealth of experience – with a passion to continue to keep pace with innovations and the demands of the market.”
Viteria Fusani underlines: “It is our mission to always find a solution for our customers. We do this with our technical know-how and the support of the right instrumentation at our disposal. We also properly monitor the entire supply chain, from raw material procurement to production planning, as well as from inspection to dispatch. This means we are able to support our customers from the design process right through to the realisation of the screw, whilst also respecting required drawings and various specifications.”
From carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium and copper wire, Viteria Fusani offers a wide range of products from M1.6 to M9, for metric and self-forming screws, and from 1.6mm to 8mm in diameter for self-tapping screws of all types, with a maximum length of 90mm. Through external partners, the company is also able to offer heat and surface treatments for enhanced performance.
“We have a long experience of producing customised screws and are open to expanding our range based on clients’ requests,” states Viteria Fusani. “We are noticing that what clients really value at the moment is a reliable and stable working relationship. As a family-owned business, our values reflect our distinguishing business practices and that is why we are investing to continue to provide the service and products our customers expect.”
Some of the key investments that Viteria Fusani has made include the installation of specific software to connect all manufacturing processes with the management system, to comply with the 4.0 industry standards, as well as introduce a new assembly machine for screws and plastic washers – further developing its production capabilities and product range.
Viteria Fusani adds: “More and more clients are preferring to buy locally to secure business in view of potential geopolitical situations. Thanks to our investments, we are able to meet these needs and provide 360° support, from monitoring order needs and production planning to offering technical support.”
In addition to the investments it has been making, Viteria Fusani has also been continuously updating and implementing initiatives to comply with environmental standards, including climate change and sustainability practices. “With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, we are committed to achieving ISO 14001 by 2026 to ensure our products meet the highest environmental standards,” concludes the company.
