Netherlands-based A.S.F Fischer B.V is celebrating a new chapter and era of possibilities with the completion of its new sustainable warehouse extension, which will soon be fully operational.
Working towards a sustainable future, the new 2,500m2 extension is more environmentally friendly and includes underfloor heating and over 675 solar panels on the roof, providing the company with more than 275,000kWh of clean energy annually. This solar park will not only reduce A.S.F’s CO2 emissions by approximately 130,000kg per year, it will also help the company become more self-sufficient.
“It all started on Friday 31st March 2024 when we drove the first pile for the foundation of the expansion of our logistics centre,” proudly states the company. “Casper Booij, the son of our current director Arnoud Booij, had the honour of driving the symbolic first pile at the age of 11, a tradition that is cherished within our family. After months of dedication and hard work, we can now finally admire our completed warehouse, enriched with an impressive solar park.”
The new extension also features an advanced order picking and shipping system to help the company work more efficiently and process customer orders even faster.
“At A.S.F Fischer we believe that sustainability is an ongoing effort and our new solar park is palpable evidence of our continued commitment to environmentally responsible business practices.”
