Solid first half growth for NORMA 20 September 2016

NORMA Group posted solid growth in the first half of its current fiscal year 2016 as sales rose 1.9% to €462.8 million (H1 2015: €454.3 million).

Organic growth of 2.8% was achieved while currency effects contributed negatively at minus 0.9%. From January to June 2016, adjusted EBITA increased by 3.1% €83.9 million (H1 2015: 81.4 million). The adjusted EBITA margin for H1 2016 improved slightly to 18.1% (H1 2015: 17.9%).
“We look back on a good first half of 2016,” said Werner Deggim, CEO of NORMA Group. “Earnings and the Group's organic growth were in–line with our expectations. Despite the sluggish macroeconomic environment and negative currency effects, we are satisfied with how the business developed in the first six months of the year. The US market for commercial vehicles is still weak and the business in China has developed slightly weaker than expected.”
