Jens Breu succeeded Heinrich Spoerry on 1st January 2016 as CEO of SFS Group AG, in a succession that has been scheduled for a couple of years, after it was announced in the context of SFS’ IPO in 2014.
Jens Breu (born in 1972) qualified as a polymechanic before joining SFS in 1995 as project leader in the development and engineering of new products. Parallel to his work he continued his professional education and acquired a Masters degree in mechanical engineering.
Between 2000 to 2008 Jens Breu served as vice-president of manufacturing in the USA. On return to Switzerland he became a member of the management team of SFS intec and, among other assignments, took responsibility for the Industrial Products division of SFS. In January 2014 he was promoted to the position of COO of the SFS Group and was designated as successor of Heinrich Spoerry in the CEO position.
After successfully leading the SFS Group as CEO and chairman of the board for 16 years, Heinrich Spoerry is now focussing on the role as chairman. The board of directors proposes his re-election at the SFS Group AGM in April 2016.
