RSR Fasteners Ltd has taken over the premises and customer base of Heathrow Fasteners Ltd in Feltham, to the west of London, UK, and is also now servicing the customers of Kenton Fasteners Ltd, which was hit by fire earlier in the year.
Ian Hamilton, RSR managing director, explains: “We have been busy in the last 14 months. Firstly, in May 2017 we took over the premises and customer base of Heathrow Fasteners in Feltham after the retirement of Bob (the bolt) Whenman. Gareth Tomkins has been running our new RSR Fasteners Feltham branch successfully since the takeover with the help of our logistics manager, Nigel Pope. Then in March this year, after the dreadful fire that affected Kenton Fasteners in Greenford, Allan South has joined us with his customer base. His father Bob South has now retired.”
Ian adds: “Whilst this has helped RSR to expand and move forward it must be said that the fastener world in the south-east has lost two legends in Bob South and Bob Whenman and we wish them well in their retirement.”
