Fastener Fair Italy opened today at the MiCo - Milano Congressi – the latest in the series of international Fastener Fairs. Around 170 exhibitors were rewarded with a lively first morning as visitors streamed into the venue from Italy but also across Europe and beyond.
Virtually from the opening at 10am, reports Fastener & Fixing Deputy Editor, Claire Aldridge, through to mid afternoon many stands throughout the hall
were consistently busy.
Companies from 12 countries are exhibiting and include Ambrovit SpA, Gruppo Bontempi – Bontempi Vibo SpA e Fram Srl, Bralo Italia, Carlo Salvi SpA, CHAVESBAO,
Fastbolt Schraubengroβhandels GmbH, Lederer GmbH, National Machinery LLC, SMART Machinery and Mecavit.
While there was naturally a strong contingent of Italian visitors many exhibitors were extremely pleased to see key buyers from Germany and France, as
well as visitors from eastern and central Europe. Buyers were also present from Russia, Scandinavia, and Turkey.
Assuming the strong pace of the fair continues into the second day, the event should prove equally rewarding for visitors, who will discover many exhibiting companies that have not previously featured at Fastener Fair events. Mack Brooks Show Director, Olivia Griscelli, told Fastener + Fixing Magazine, there were eighty-six new Fastener Fair exhibitors, seventy-four of which are from Italy. “Fasteners and related products have an important role in virtually every area of industry. This is a highly competitive market, and one that sees frequent innovations from well known and established suppliers,” she explained. “For buyers it is also very interesting to have the opportunity to evaluate specialist suppliers which are able to offer excellent solutions but maybe are not able to project their capabilities to a wide range of European customers.”
Fastener Fair Italy also features a series of seminars with topics including “Distribution of Fasteners: Market Changes and Technological Innovation”, “Structural Anchors and Construction Products Regulation” and “Outlook for the Stainless Steel Fastener sector”.
