G&B Fissaggi Group acquires Aptus 30 May 2025

Italian-based G&B Fissaggi has acquired Aptus Fastener Systems Ltd, a respected UK-based wholesaler of screws and fixings, marking a new chapter in G&B’s 13 year commitment to the UK market.

Since entering the UK in 2012, G&B Fissaggi has built a solid reputation as a trusted partner in construction fixings, offering a wide portfolio of innovative and certified solutions backed by European manufacturing expertise and local market knowledge.

Its UK operations, headquartered under G&B Fixings UK, has consistently delivered value through technical excellence, strong customer support, as well as a commitment to local service. Aptus Fasteners will now operate as a subsidiary of G&B Fissaggi, reinforcing the Group’s shared dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

G&B brings over four decades of experience in high performance fixing systems, including nylon, steel, and chemical anchors, sealants, foams, power tool accessories, and specialist solutions for construction, electrical, and thermo-hydraulic sectors. Combining this with Aptus’ deep expertise in structural timber fixings strengthens G&B’s capability to support a wider range of projects with precision and reliability.

Aptus is widely regarded as a specialist in timber construction, particularly through its bestselling timberfix® woodscrews, pro-struct® structural timber screws, and exclusive partnerships with German leaders like HECO® and Pitzl®. This capability complements and enhances G&B’s broader offering in construction fixings, enabling the Group to provide more targeted, technically advanced solutions to a growing segment of the building industry.

This acquisition will see customers benefit from a broader and deeper product portfolio, improved stock availability, and access to enhanced technical support and innovations through combined teams and logistics infrastructure.

Aptus comments: “Our customers in the UK will continue to work with the same trusted teams they know. Aptus’ leadership and operations will remain in place, ensuring continuity of service while benefiting from G&B’s European scale, manufacturing resources, and research and development capabilities.”

G&B adds: “This strategic acquisition reflects G&B Fissaggi’s long-term commitment to the UK market and our vision to become the preferred partner for fastening systems across all sectors of construction and industry. As we integrate operations – a process to be completed by 4th August 2025 – our focus remains firmly on supporting our customers’ success through reliable products, technical expertise, and service excellence. We are excited about what this new partnership will bring for our teams, our customers, and the future of construction fastening in the UK.”
