Brugola Michigan plant to contribute 20% of revenue 09 November 2015

Egidio ‘Jody’ Brugola – who became president of the company following his father’s death in February – told La Republica that Brugola’s new manufacturing facility in Michigan, which will supply engine bolts to Ford, will produce 10,000 tonnes by 2018, worth 25 million euros.

Brugola’s sales, which fell to 63 million euros in 2009, are expected to reach 130 million euros this year. The new plant is described as a clone of that in Liss, Italy, employing SACMA manufacturing technology and initially employing 25 people.

Employment numbers are expected to increase to 75 – 80 by the end of 2017. Brugola also plans to have installed its own heat treatment line and increased the number of manufacturing plants from the current six to around twenty-two.
