Baker & Finnemore adds new power press to equipment range
03 November 2016
Baker & Finnemore Ltd has announced that it has just gained approval to move forward with the largest single piece of capital investment the company has ever seen – GB£660,000 on a brand new power press.
Bolstering its range of equipment the new 110T Minster Press will be delivered early in 2017 and be operational by the end of April 2017. This new machine
drastically increases the range of pressing capability by enabling the use of larger, more complicated tooling or even multiple tools at once. The
other major benefit of having this equipment is that it will enable Baker & Finnemore to further modernise the production processes for its existing
range of Starlock® Push on fasteners.
In July 2012 Baker & Finnemore joined Titgemeyer Group of companies and has since injected over GB£750,000 of other investment into the company. The
Minster Press represents a major stepping stone for Baker & Finnemore as it is the first time the company has ever purchased a brand new power
press. It represents the intent of Baker & Finnemore and the wider Titgemeyer Group to support all industries with the highest quality Starlock
Push on Fasteners, bespoke pressings, and application engineering know-how at competitive prices.
“This investment represents a great stride forward in our capability but also illustrates our recognition for the demands of today’s markets. These are
very exciting times,” commented Paul Watkins-Burke, managing director at Baker & Finnemore. Ian Styles, sales director, added: “This equipment
allows us to pair our reputation for high-quality products with the capability and competitiveness the global markets demand. It will help us strengthen
our core Starlock product and give a new lease of life to our bespoke pressings division.”
