Extended service in hardness testing technology 25 June 2025

Regular calibration and maintenance of hardness testing equipment are essential for precise and reliable hardness measurements. To ensure its customers consistently receive the highest quality and reliability, Hegewald & Peschke’s DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory is continuously expanding its service portfolio.

In terms of calibration, its services include standard compliant calibrations of hardness testing machines, regardless of manufacturer, according to the latest standards. These standards include the Brinell method – from measuring ranges from 30 HBW to 850 HBW, Vickers method 50 HV to 850 HV, as well as the Rockwell method – from 20 HRA to 95 HRA, 10 HRBW to 100 HRBW, 20 HRC to 70 HRC and 20 HRN to 94 HRN.

The laboratory issues a calibration certificate as proof of the international comparability and auditability of the measurements. It uses only validated procedures and correctly traced calibration media.

In addition to calibration, Hegewald & Peschke Meß-und Prüftechnik GmbH also offers comprehensive maintenance services for hardness testing equipment, including those from third-party suppliers. Maintenance is carried out according to a predefined maintenance plan and includes inspections and the replacement of critical components such as lenses, indenters and lighting. With flexible maintenance contracts and predictable deployments, the service team not only reduces costs but also ensures consistently high service quality.

“Our expanded service offerings in hardness testing technology, from standard compliant calibrations to flexible maintenance contracts, form the basis for monitoring measuring and testing equipment,” underlines Hegewald & Peschke. “This increases competitiveness and strengthens confidence in products – both nationally and internationally.”
