SACMA’s new combined headers 25 September 2018

SACMA Group will introduce the new SP59-C and SP59 combined header models for large fasteners up to M24, at the upcoming Fastener Fair Italy show in Milan.

SACMA states that like its other combined headers, these new models provide the best solution for high productivity requirements; the consolidation of production methods; floor space usage; and work flow in a fastener manufacturing environment. They do this by having the forging, pointing and thread rolling all in one machine – providing maximum efficiency and part quality in the manufacturing process of standard fasteners and special automotive fasteners.

Featuring all the mechanical and performance qualities of the Group’s progressive headers, the new SACMA combined headers offer the ability to make quick changeovers and the versatility to make net shape parts, in addition to bolts and screws. This demonstrates the ability of SACMA’s innovative real modular system and its well-earned reputation of versatility, quality, precision, reliability and longevity.

SACMA will also present the features available in its ‘Winning Technologies®’ label such as the patented ‘S-Feed’ servo driven wire feeder, the new Industry 4.0 ready machines, the new QTC package for quick changeovers, and the new version M with the fully motorised adjustment of the machine.

“We will also show our latest developments regarding the new SC500 and SC600 to control the absolute forces of the heading station and to manage the die match during the threading operation of the combined headers,” reports SACMA. “To add to this, we will also focus on the brand new S-Transfer precision system with linear motor driven fingers and servomotor driven lateral movement – allowing a very quick and easy transfer timing set-up directly from the touch panel.”

Other machines that will be focused on during the show include the Ingramatic micro threader model RP020, W00/W000 die sizes, for the high-speed production of very precise miniature screws. The machine is equipped with the latest technologies available such as an innovative tool holder; an introduction system driven by a torque motor for a ultra-precise introduction of the miniature blanks into the dies; and a slide body running on linear guides (with ball circulation skates) in order to ensure high accuracy for rolling operation. The drive transmission of the RP020 is made by an innovative double helical drive belt connecting the brushless main motor with an absolute master encoder. This new type of drive with double helical belt favours higher torque and precision.

Ingramatic will also announce the newest machine for the production of very large and heavy fasteners – the large thread rolling machine model RP920 (W70/TR9) with its unique bed frame design integrating the reaction block and the patented double starter unit driven by servomotors. The machine will be equipped with the new cabin design and all the I-Thread features, which Ingramatic states will make the machine the most advanced large thread rolling machine in the world.
