Over 627 exhibitors from around the world – covering a display area of 34,000m2 – exhibited at the International Fastener Show China 2018 (IFS China 2018). Showcasing a variety of fastener equipment, moulds and consumables, designs, technologies and services, standard fasteners, industry-specific fasteners, stampings, lathe parts and fastener materials.
Organisers reported that a total of 25,637 trade visitors, both domestic and international, made their way to the three-day event. Mr Xue Kangsheng, president of Fasteners Industry Association of China General Machine Components Industry Association, noted: “The two exhibition halls at this year’s show had their own distinctive characteristics. Hall 2 brought together standard parts and basic equipment for various fastener industries. Hall 3 showcased special fasteners for the automotive, aerospace, railway, construction and other industries - fully reflecting the exhibition’s industry professionalism and refined classification. We aim at developing the platform of IFS China into an indispensable annual gala for the fastener industry.”
In 2017, China’s fastener trade rebounded to a favorable level, and both imports and exports achieved positive growths. According to customs data, from January to December last year, China exported 2.9 million tonnes of fasteners, up 5.84% year-on-year (YoY); the export amount was US$5.05 billion (€4.42 billion), with a YoY increase of 11.3%. Notably, in terms of export amount, the top five destination markets are the United States, Japan, Russia, Germany, and South Korea.
IFS China 2018 boasted an active participation of the main overseas equipment manufacturers, including companies from South Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Germany, the USA, Israel, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Helping to create a platform for the Chinese, and global fastener industry, to communicate, cooperate, and enhance exchanges and understanding, while creating opportunities for fastener companies from home and abroad.
Gary Liu, managing director of Hannover Milano Fairs China Ltd, one of the organisers of IFS China 2018, said: “As a key component of ‘Made in China’, fastener enjoys a broad overseas market. This year we have gained the attention and participation from a lot of overseas buyers by leveraging Hannover’s unique exhibition concepts, innovative ideas and international market channels.”
In Hall 2 exhibitors included Tenglong Group, Ningbo Sijin, Hyodong, Wuxi Zhengyao, Shanghai Chunzu, Ningbo Haixing, Jern Yao, Foshan Yuhai, National Machinery LLC, Accuvision, Kunshan Fuze, Quanying, Yixing Youxin, Huangshan Shengrui, Shanghai BiauLi, Carlo Salvi, Shanghai Yuezhan, Jiaxing Jenn Tai, Zhejiang Dongrui, Nedshroef, Marposs, Jie His, Dujiangyan Beyond, Baoshan Iron & Steel, Maanshan Iron & Steel, Xingtai Iron & Steel, CPM/AMBA/Wafios/Zwick/Sieber, Dongguan RKE, Foshan Kuiloon, GwoLian, Sakamura, CITIC Pacific Special Steeling, ORT ITALIA and OSG brought their lineup of fastener manufacturing equipment, auxiliary equipment, inspection devices, measurement instrument, fastener mould, consumables and raw materials.
Situated in Hall 3 were Zhejiang Santie, Hangzhou Yougongpin, Shanghai Prime, Changshu City Standard Parts Factory, STURDFIX FASTENERS & FIXINGS, Hebei Jinan, Ningbo Xin De Run, Ningguo Dongbo, Leng Shui Jiang Tian Bao, Tongming, Shanghai Chengtai, Eagle, Handan Feida, Fawer, SurTec, Shanghai Nanshi, Ningbo Nanluo, Jiangsu Xingchangjiang, Shanghai Zhanguo, Zhejiang Ansheng, Leesheng, Wenzhou Leo, Wenzhou Shengchuang, SRC, Zhejiang Zhapu, Haiyan Yuxing, Jinan Star, Ningbo Jinding, Eastport, and Shanghai SQB.
On the eve of IFS China 2018’s opening ceremony, The Five Regions Fastener Association Conference 2018 was held with a theme: ‘Green production, innovation sharing, intelligent manufacturing in the fastener industry’. Representatives of associations from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan, delivered special reports on ecological development models, intelligent factories, intelligent strategies and other aspects of the fastener industry of the ‘Five Regions’.
The show also held four major themed activities concurrently, including roundtable conference of representatives from the fastener industry of Asia, Europe and America, as well as face-to-face and one-to-one international sourcing meetings, a themed lecture of fastener technologies exchange, and a forum on: “How does the electroplating industry maintain competitiveness under the ever-changing automotive industry’.
Hosted by China General Machine Components Industry Association, China Fastener Industry Association, Shanghai Afastener Exhibition Co Ltd, and Deutsche Messe AG, International Fastener Show China 2018 was jointly organised by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai and Shanghai Afastener Exhibition. The next show will be held during 11th – 13th June 2019 in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
