Fastener Training Week heads to Cleveland 02 April 2025

Fastener Training Institute (FTI) will host its next Fastener Training Week, from 7th – 11th April, in Cleveland, Ohio. Fastener Training Week, sponsored by Birmingham Fastener, is FTI’s flagship training programme that earns participants Certified Fastener Specialist™ (CFS) designation after completion and passing a final exam.

The list of topics for Fastener Training Week is extensive and thorough. Some key areas of focus include consensus standards organisations, IFI resources, torque tension, QA systems and sampling plans, thread technology and gauge issues, print reading and tolerances, material specifications for steel fasteners, as well as understanding how fasteners fail.

“We look forward to welcoming our next class of Fastener Training Week students,” comments Jo Morris, managing director for FTI. “Completing the class and becoming a Certified Fastener Specialist™ is a significant accomplishment and we are proud to make our industry safer and more reliable through advanced training.”

With every Fastener Training Week, Jo Morris and her instructors enhance the content and teaching methods. More case studies are now used to offer ‘real world’ examples. In addition, students participate in hands-on demonstrations, learning labs, general classroom instruction and plant tours – all in a team atmosphere.
