Founded in 1957, FAR Srl is a family owned business and a leading company in Italy, and in Europe, for the production and distribution of high technology articles for fastening. With highly specialised employees, supported by two automatic warehouse systems and semi-robotised packaging units – in a 14,000m2 plant in Bologna, the company ships a great variety of blind rivets, blind rivet nuts, tools, and semi-automated solutions, to more than 70 countries worldwide.
One of the core competencies of FAR’s in-house research team is the development of high-quality technical solutions for blind rivet installations. For instance, the high performance blind rivets installation tool RAC 172 provides a force of 22,725N and a stroke of 19.5mm. It is also able to set structural rivets in steel and stainless steel, and other high performance rivets in diameters 6mm and 6.4mm.
