EISENWARENMESSE to be hybrid event 24 November 2020

As part of Koelnmesse’s digitalisation strategy, EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Köln 2021 will be held as a hybrid event for the first time.

The exhibitor response to the show, which will take place from 21st to 24th February 2021, clearly reflects the commitment to physical trade fairs, with around 2,000 exhibitors registering so far. Fastener companies already registered include Metabowerke GmbH, GESIPA®, HAZET, Prebena Wilfried Bornemann GmbH & Co KG, Reyher and Stanley Black & Decker.

New theme platforms at EISENWARENMESSE also offer excellent added value for exhibitors and visitors, with a new eCommerce area featuring a variety of innovative, disruptive solutions and strategies for business in the areas of payment, shop systems, ERP, hosting, search engine optimisation and multichannel. In addition to exciting solutions, there will also be excellent keynote sessions delivered by digital rock star Michael Atug and digitalisation guru Frank Thelen.

Besides informative expert talks and lectures, online giants such as Facebook and eBay as well as business providers like Shopware will also be exhibiting in the eCommerce area. Physical product presentations and networking formats will be complemented by new, digital offerings and ensure greater international reach.

Overall, the strong response to the trade fair clearly demonstrates that companies want face-to-face business networking opportunities. The comprehensive #ROCK-SAFE4business hygiene concept, widening the aisles to five metres, ultra modern ventilation systems and the addition of two halls will ensure maximum safety.

“The current registration status is a fantastic signal of the industry’s trust in the trade fair and proves that physical networking formats are irreplaceable for generating sustainable business success,” explains Matthias Becker, director EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Köln. “In the future, we will enhance the benefits of a physical event with innovative, digital formats in order to provide customers with even more added value before, during and after the trade fair.”
