In hollow materials, when the screw/lag screw is inserted, the plug expands by retracting and pressing on the base material and providing a firm grip.

The plugs are also versatile and are recommended for use with a wide range of screws including chipboard screws, countersunk screws and coach screws, as well as other types of products such as hooks and eyes. The TN4S nylon expansion plus are manufactured in polyamide 6.6, a hygroscopic plastic material that absorbs and loses water depending on the external conditions (humidity and temperature).
