Fixing in high temperature 15 October 2015

Installing standard chemical anchors in tropical climates around the world can prove difficult, if not impossible, due to the speed at which standard chemical anchors harden – leaving very short working times to install the necessary metal rod anchors.

Italian-based Bossong SpA has introduced to the market the new BCR V-PLUS-T – a two component vinylester resin styrene-free of thixotropic consistency, which has been especially produced for high temperatures and has a maximum application temperature of up to 50°C (temperature of the concrete substrate).

The BCR V-PLUS-T is a tropical version of the standard BCR V-PLUS and offers the same performance capabilities, but with the advantage of being slower to react at the same temperatures, especially when temperatures are high.

BCR V-PLUS-T is CE marked according to ETAG 001 Part 5 and has an ETA (ETA – 09/0140) for threaded rods and an ETA (ETA – 09/0246) for post-installed rebar connections. The product is approved for a wide range of diameters for cracked and non-cracked concrete, and can also be used in flooded holes.

The performance of the BCR V-PLUS-T is certificated for service temperature ranges:

-40°C / +40°C (Max long-term = 24°C)
-40°C / +80°C (Max long-term = 50°C)
-40°C / +120°C (Max long-term = 72°C)

Certified on concrete for heavy loads and structural uses, the BCR V-PLUS-T can also be used for fastening on solid masonry, stone, hollow masonry (with the use of special plastic sleeve) and wood.

Bossong is also able to provide a solution for low temperature applications, with its BCR V-PLUS WINTER able to act with the temperature of concrete support as low as -20°C.
