SACMA continues to innovate 22 March 2018

wire® stand: 15.E26

The leitmotiv of SACMA Group is to innovate steadily and provide the most reliable range of machines – making customers more competitive in a continuously evolving market. This will once again be on display, as SACMA Group welcomes all the actors of the forming world to its booth at wire® Düsseldorf, which promises to be an exceptional exhibition that SACMA is dedicating to Mr Giancarlo Rampezzotti.

SACMA’s stand will display the most important innovations launched by both SACMA and Ingramatic, which are either immediately ready for the market or coming soon. This includes the progressive header model SP270-WF300° from SACMA, which package consists of a light WF version, as an alternative to the fully integrated warm forming machines. This six dies header will demonstrate to users the benefits of forming parts up to 300°C.

The machine has the patented S-Feed wire feeding system, driven by servomotor, and allows a very precise and reliable cut-off operation. The header is designed for Industry 4.0 and equipped with the SACMA Load Matic made by Brankamp. The 7th transfer finger has a pneumatic opening, to be used for quality management in connection with the loading control.

The S-Feed wire feeder, the first mechatronic application of SACMA Group, is now joined by the brand new S-Transfer – a transfer driven by linear motors allowing the operator to set-up and manage all the operations from the touch screen panel, SC Matic. Customers will see a precise, reliable and effective servo transfer, reaching the typical targets of SACMA Group machinery. The S-Transfer provides additional functions to run difficult parts requiring dedicated set-up for a perfect transportation.

A showcase will be dedicated to the new S-Transfer unit at the wire® show, explaining the concept and the features. SACMA customers are used to saying ‘when we buy a SACMA machine, we know what we buy’, and the S-Transfer is also the result of the synergy with Ingramatic in the application of servomotors for different functions. The sharing experience strategy makes the new projects safe and durable from the beginning. The S-Transfer will be progressively introduced in SACMA headers over a short period.

SACMA has also extended its product line by introducing the new six die combined header models SP59 and SP59-C, with 24mm wire cut off, DKO 180mm and 110mm – meeting the demand of the automotive industry to produce ever more complicated threaded parts. The SACMA combined headers maintain the performances of the progressive headers, from which they derived.

Ingramatic fast and strong in innovation

A member of the SACMA Group, Ingramatic is a worldwide leading company for designing and manufacturing thread rolling machines. The well known modular I-Thread machine line provides many innovative features such as the motorisation of the die match and the single starter units driven by torque motor motion, as well as the patented double starter unit driven by servomotors. These two types of starter units have, as a standard function, the self learning adjustment of the starter fingers to make set-up of the blank introduction quick and easy. Ingramatic says it is the first worldwide company having engineered a solution for the whole range of machines from M1 to M33.

During the wire show Ingramatic will have a world premiere, showing the smallest threader inspired by the I-Thread concept, the model RP020 for the high-speed production of very precise miniature screws. The machine is equipped with the latest technologies available such as an innovative tool holder, an introduction system driven by a linear torque motor and a slide running on linear guides (with ball circulation skates) in order to ensure high accuracy for rolling operation. The machine is equipped with the same advanced functions of the I-Thread machines, like the self learning adjustments of the starter unit, the frame made of spheroidal cast iron and the SC-Matic interface for fully motorised adjustments.

In addition, to give a better understanding about the undisputable capacity of Ingramatic to design modular machines with the highest level of sophistication, and to serve the most exigent users, the company will have an additional demo with the large thread rolling machine model RP820 (TR8/W60). This machine is the best for running ultra high-tensile bolts for the automotive and truck industries or structural bolts for the construction industry.

To keep up all its customers and potential partners, SACMA Group has created two teaser videos showing the Winning Technologies® recently implemented by SACMA and Ingramatic on the SACMA Group YouTube channel. In both teaser videos, SACMA and Ingramatic are revealing the new interesting packages to produce sophisticated parts and improve the way to use cold and warm forming machines.

SACMA Group staff will be pleased to welcome visitors at wire Düsseldorf 2018, Hall 15 booth E26, to show and explain all the new technologies and the capacity to support all customers around the world.
