Hašpl – living for fastening 30 November 2020

A traditional Czech family business, Hašpl as has grown from a small manufacturer of nails to a leading European manufacturer with over 230 employees and nail production volume of 25,000 tonnes per year.

Whilst nails production has been its focus, both loose and collated nails, Hašpl has also expanded its assortment of fasteners so that it can supply screws, bolts, nuts, washers, thread rods, blind rivets and anchors.

“In order to stay competitive with our products, from the very beginning we placed emphasis on an uncompromising quality on the products we produce, as well as the products we import,” states Hašpl. “That is why from the raw material at the start of the production process, all the way through to goods out, we carry out quality checks.”

Due to the company’s commitment to long-term quality standards for its products, it also ensures its machinery is undergoing constant modernisation. “It is important that you are always looking to develop your capabilities with modern machinery, but you also need to keep existing processes available to customers,” mentions Hašpl. “That is why we maintain our traditional nail production using classic conventional machines, as well as ensuring that we have at our disposal top quality equipment for the production, cleaning, thread rolling, collating and packing of nails.”

Hašpl supplies its products to European and North American wholesalers, as well as producers involved in the construction and wooden packaging industries. The company is looking to develop these markets even further in the future. “2020 has undoubtedly been an unusual year for everybody, but surprisingly as a business we did not see any major impacts,” points out Hašpl. “Our business was still fully operational and our sales, especially wood connecting materials, went up rapidly due to the restrictions along the supply chain for customers. There was obviously social distancing to contend with, but this process had already begun a long time ago, due to the development of automation within the production process. If anything Covid-19 might see this process increased.”

For over 25 years Hašpl has shown itself to be a reliable partner for not only its nail production, but for all types of fasteners it can supply. “Thanks to the honest work, verve and commitment of our employees we have been able to establish a good reputation within the market. Our motto is ‘we live for fastening’ and that is shown by our production capabilities, products, as well as the hard work of our employees.”
