Remnants of Preciturn purchased from bankruptcy 02 November 2015

According to French media the Commercial Court in Le Puy-en-Velay accepted a bid from Auriol Frappe à Froid, based in Toulouse, France, for the remnants of Preciturn.

Auriol manufactures rivets, screws and special parts for aerospace, industry and automotive sectors. The company also manufactures in the Tangier Exportation Free Zone, Morocco. Preciturn’s demise was accelerated when Peugeot pulled out of supply contracts leaving Renault as the ailing business’ only major contract. The transaction is expected to result in the retention of less than twenty jobs in a business that in the 1970s employed 400. Purchased in 2013 from a previous bankruptcy by a US investor the business continued to struggle, allegedly due to failure of the investor to delivery cash injections.
